Guangzhou Panyu TOD mall is a community mall serving the newly developing Cisco City in Panyu. Connecting to GZ metro, the mall serves as a meeting space for the growing community in this developing district.
Inspired by pebbles found through the Pearl Delta region and Greater Bay Area, the flowing interlocking stone forms act to humanise the scale of the architecture whilst offering a playful aesthetics.
The contours of the facade provide multi-facetted facade opportunities for branding through LED screens which echoing with the plazas, highly trafficked roads and those exiting from the metro. The architecture is ‘value added’ and drives additional revenue for the client which creating an iconic nodal point within the community.
There are five floor for the retail mall and three basement levels. Xinzhao metro station connects the mall from B1 level. Following the topography changes, there are three entrances connects to the mall from different sides, as well as connects to the campus bridge at level two. There’s a atrium in the center of the mall to bring in daylight.
